User demand met: Twitter finally introduced edit button

The feature of a button to edit a tweet after it is posted on Twitter has been one of the most demanded features by the users and finally, the company has accepted it to some extent.

Yes indeed, Twitter has announced the introduction of an edit button that will be available to users sometime in September.

Twitter said in a statement that the edit button is currently being tested internally, after which the tweet-editing feature will be available by the end of September, but only to subscribers of the company's paid service, Twitter Blue, rather than to general users.

This service is currently available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the US and the company has not made any statement regarding other countries.

The company said in a blog post that tweets can be edited within 30 minutes of posting.
